Master List, May 2009

Thanks to all for the feedback on the last column. I’ll work on getting details out about my Hazel rules, and a couple of other notes, for those who asked.

I haven’t added anything to the list this month; however, I will probably remove Action Tracker and ActionTastic next month, unless I see something different. Also, I’ve checked up on other things listed here to make sure they’re still in the works, and everything seems to be fine (contrary to some comments)! Oh, and I got The Hit List in my MacHeist bundle, too, so look for it to be added in the near future.

There were a larger-than-average number of updates this month, so check to see if your favorite application (or one you’ve been watching) has a new version.

About the List

As usual, I welcome any feedback on my list or suggestions for additions. I won’t always add every suggestion, but I’ll look at them and evaluate whether they fit with what I’m trying to cover.

Locally Installed GTD Applications

Developer: Mac Productive

Current Version: 1.3.1

Price: Free

Development Status: Release

Print Lists: Yes

iPhone Presence: None

OS Requirements: None (FileMaker file)

Required Applications: FileMaker Pro (free Runtime version available)

Distinguishing Features: Also organizes notes, contacts, and other information related to projects.

News: The Mac Productive Web site now contains an odd (and uncomfortably Windows-centric) message on its front page that, though dated almost 10 years ago, appears to be more recent and, sadly, seems to confirm the departure of Action Tracker from existence. Look for this one to be dropped from the list in the near future.
