What a fabulous picture, Haystacks is one of the fells I have not yet climbed (always considered it a tiddler) but now am getting lets day more 'mature' and lack of inches does not matter as much !

Haystacks is indeed a tiddler, but go and climb it - a half day walk from Honister Pass.
The views are excellent despite the lack of hieght and the whole area is of interest to explore. The tarns are particularly tranquil on the right day and be careful not to pick up Alfred Wainwright in your boots - it was his favourite spot and he, more than anyone else, knew them all. Happy walking.
Despite having done all the other Lakes' fells a number of times, I only climbed Haystacks for the first time last year. It is not a giant of course, but it did surprise me in that is much broader than I imagined it would be, and it really is quite a unique looking fell in the Lake District - very bizarre landscape compared to other mountains, even ones close by. Great picture, by the way. Wish I knew the camera used to take it...
