We were touring Kilkenny Castle when the news hit of 911 and the Terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers. We got to a TV at local pub in time to see the second one go down! I had just taken a photo of this gorgeous Irish cross-shaped garden and said a prayer prior to exiting and hearing the news. We Americans are evidently easy to spot. Comforting condolences came from everyone we encountered. The hotel even had a priest come in for a prayer service for us. And they held a day of mourning with black drapings over many doors. Your exquisite photo brought that all home to me again. Thanks for the memories of such a darling people caring for us in such tragic times. TT
