The attackers have killed thousands of people. As a people, we will not allow them to steal our civil liberties or our fundamental rights of free speech and personal expression.

The editors of ATPM would like to express our heartfelt sorrow to the families of the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attack.

We can not forget what she stands for or forfeit our civil liberties, because of today's attack. Otherwise the terrorists will have succeeded.

It is most revealing how Jesus handled the same question many people are asking today: "Why did this happen to innocent people?" When the tower of Siloam fell, and killed innocent people, those of his day wondered why as well. Instead of Jesus giving them a reason, he first showed that those killed were not being individually punished for some extraordinary wickedness. Then he focused the situation on the inquirers. He said,"Unless you repent, you shall all, likewise, perish" Jesus used this situation to help us remember that today could be our last day as well. What is our spiritual condition at any given moment. You can read of this in Luke 13:1-5 in the Bible. Great food for thought!

My thoughts are running wilde in my mind after what happend in NY on the 11th of September this year. There are no words that can describe what I feel and I don't even live there. I wish I could be there and help in any way. I know many people probably not agree with me but I think we have to stop and think before we do something. What is happening in Afganistan now is just as terrible, all the people that did not have anything to do with the attack that are suffering now, all the kids and the poor women that are allready living in hell, what are there lifes like now? Usama bin laden uses the words of the koran the way it pleases himself. He is a small evil man that hides behind a religon that really doesn't have anything to do with killing. I'm sorry if I have upset you but I believe in the good of all people that doesn't prove me otherwise. My thoughts goes out to all the people in USA that have lost someone or their faith in the future as well as to the children in Afganistan. My english is not the best but I hope my thoughts came thru. With love// Helen C, Sweden
